FFXIV Interview with Tanaka and Komoto

For those of you who just can’t get enough of the excitement, check out this interview posted on Allakhazam in which developers Tanaka and Komoto speak with JP media sites GameWatch, 4Gamer and Famitsu.

There is little information available on FFXIV for now so one of the fun things to do in the meantime is speculate!

Gamespot posted their write up about Square Enix’s Q&A on FFXIV. Filming was not allowed but the people at Gamespot took a few pictures. Who knows if that was allowed but…. here is one of the pictures of the event.

Our Introduction to Final Fantasy XIV

Here we are: Final Fantasy XIV. The fifth installment in the Final Fantasy XI franchise has been announced! It will be a PS3 console-exclusive with a PC version as well.

If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, check out finalfantasyxiv.com

Not a bad start, having the site be ready to go in all different languages. It would be amazing if they maintained that and kept all players in the loop in every region. All I know is, the magazines will be hitting the shelves starting this Friday, and I’ll be scouring through them for info.

For now, there isn’t much to say. There is still a Square Enix press conference to come, so perhaps they will shed more light on this new installment in the Final Fantasy series.

For now, I’m just going to take a look at the vocabulary used in the Japanese version of the trailer for those interested.
